In earlier days, those who could afford it used to travel by carriage or horse-drawn carriage. There were parking facilities for these vehicles at various places in the city. This modest wooden building served as a stable for the mansions next door. It was probably built in the same period, around or after 1875. Between 1900 and 1920 the neck-shaped top with decorations on the edges was added, as well as the oval window in the gable.
Inside, parts of the old roof construction are still visible.
