Originally, brewery De Cimbel was located here. It was demolished to make room for this largest patrician townhouse ever built in Delft (1717-1720). Louis XIV style with ornate entrance and cornice. Expanded with buildings on Westvest in 19th century. Since 1960 education building IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. From 1990-1992, style rooms were restored to former glory.
