Large residential house (1893) with high hipped roof, built for the rich industrialist Lambert van Meerten. The house was designed a.o. to showcase his art collection, consisting of 16th- and 17th-century building fragments, Dutch Delftware and furniture. The historical building fragments are integrated into the house as interior elements. The façade, a design by Adolf le Comte, refers to the late 16th and 17th century. Upon the death of Van Meerten the house was turned into a museum in 1904. In 2016 it was sold to Vereniging Hendrick de Keyser, an organisation that preserves historical monuments. After an extensive restauration it opened as a Museum house in July 2020. www.museumhuizen.nl
