This former artillery warehouse for the States of Holland and West Frisia was built in phases from 1671. The long building on Paardenmarkt is the oldest part, with two parallel gable roofs. The opposite building dates from 1746, with a slightly younger roof (1828) which is equally special because of its huge, pointed rafters.
After a big renovation spanning more than five years, the largest part is now used as a centre for innovative companies in the offshore and energy sector (Buccaneer) and as a restaurant (Kruydt).
